Clockwise
I turn the can
of Planters Mixed Nuts
peering into a greasy
kaleidoscope –
not a cashew
to be found
only Jordans,
Filberts, and Peas
tumbling
in my disdain.
They are all
that remain
of the feast.
wrestling with congruency
Clockwise
I turn the can
of Planters Mixed Nuts
peering into a greasy
kaleidoscope –
not a cashew
to be found
only Jordans,
Filberts, and Peas
tumbling
in my disdain.
They are all
that remain
of the feast.

Nice take on the aftermath of Thanksgiving. The best is picked over and gone – plays nicely with the retail madness going on this time of year.
