the hand of life
reaches down

to lift up the soul

and gently
place it elsewhere

thank you Heather. After my dad died, I looked at his body and saw that it was all that remained, it wore down…but his beautiful life force moved on to manifest itself elsewhere.

    Nice piece.

Every ending gives way to a beginning – the realization of which can cast a lot of otherwise heart-wrenching things in a softer light.

  4. Paul Says:

    gorgeous poem, tiny and perfect.
