the hand of life
reaches down

to lift up the soul
like a kitten

and gently
place it elsewhere

    Nice piece.

Every ending gives way to a beginning – the realization of which can cast a lot of otherwise heart-wrenching things in a softer light.

  4. Paul Says:

    gorgeous poem, tiny and perfect.
