hand out condoms
shelter people from abuse
talk to the lonely
instead we preach hell
build mansions
brick walls
wrestling with congruency
hand out condoms
shelter people from abuse
talk to the lonely
instead we preach hell
build mansions
brick walls

I like this one very much. It reminds me of my past-life.

ps,
QAZSE, my friend, your myspace link led me to my own myspace blog (which, btw, is just a link to my REAL blog)…

Yes, you and I have gotten paid for doing such things. We were hired to do that for the community. Unfortunately we’re like band aids throwing ourselves on top of society’s wounds – protecting society from collective omissions. In some ways we were paid enablers, giving people the message that we were necessary and sufficient.
As you well know, solutions to most of our social problems can’t be won through specialists and mercenaries. In the poem I wanted to convey, in part, the notion that it is everyone’s mission.

slynne,my friend, thank you for letting me know that. I went to my son’s computer and sure enough it went to his log in prompt for his myspace. I will investigate.
