thanks howard. It is funny to think about a God getting involved with the outcome of professional or collegiate sports. He would look like Telly Savalas. (or Jerry Tarkanian!)

I wasn’t going to get into the local franchises, but since you mentioned it, I’m still pleasantly shocked to see the Phils with a winning record this early in the season. Usually they start off much more slowly.
But I swear I didn’t offer a single prayer to try to make that happen 😉

I think people who pay for a lottery win are kinda funny. Don’t they know thousands of others are offering competing requests to the big guy? I pray for naturally occurring weather conditions to prevail so it will not conflict with any other requests.

Although, I have never won the lottery and have never prayed for such. I am beginning to recognize a correlation.
However, I do agree with you on the weather prayer thing: “give us this day, our naturally occurring weather patterns, and forgive us our trespasses as we …”
