you will know the truth by its actions

let the gods throw chairs
at each other
claiming truth
as property
shattering bones
in their name
while buddha sits quietly
under a table
wrestling with congruency
let the gods throw chairs
at each other
claiming truth
as property
shattering bones
in their name
while buddha sits quietly
under a table

This made me think of a cartoon i saw on a blog.
A man was huddled up next to “Jesus”, scared, and the man was saying, “Protect me from your followers.”
i feel the same way, and try to follow the best i can.
Pharisee-ism is alive and well.

Great cartoon. Humor seems best when it is truest.

Glad to see you’re still writing your lovely poems, I’ve been away quite a while…I love gods throwing chairs.
