“class warfare” accuses Rush disapprovingly

a repost
Rush is a pathetic homey for the establishment.

Even at $400 mil over the next 8 years, I have a sick feeling that he’ll continue his stellar repoire with “regular” Americans. Funny how that works.
Millionaires like Rush are all over the radio railing against elitism while they practice the worst, most cynical, most divisive kind of elitism possible.

Yea, how does that work. How does the pampered turd represent the common man? It is like me representing conservative Catholicism.

Love the image.
Your use of ‘besmirched’.
There are so many disturbing levels to this- with his phat new contract, his vomitous spew, the fact that way too many- with and against- lap it up, that there is a place for this…
i’m waiting for my space ship.
It’s way late…

Christine, Sun Ra will hook you up with the ship.
“Besmirched” is a word that just sounds messy. I ran into in the early 70’s. I think it was John Barth who was fond of using it at the time. Another one of my favorite sounding words is “truculent”. It plain sounds what it means.
Your observation, it is disturbing that “way too many- with and against- lap it up” is a cynical but accurate one I believe. He gets traction from his detractors. It is our attention to the outrageous that breaths life into it.

The with-and-against phenomenon irks me too.
I know many in both camps – people who think Rush is a fool, but somehow find him entertaining (thereby helping to justify his fat contract), and those who believe he’s the second coming of Christ.
And, yeah, the Victorino hit was sweet, as any hit would be that finishes off the Mets 😉

In my mind, the biggest most irresponsible sham of all is Michael “let me remind you every ten minutes that I have a PhD” Savage. His broadcast name is a pseudonym for his birth name Michael Weiner. All these guys/gals put on the Wizard of Oz persona and are very successful at marketing themselves. They are quick to call people who think differently nasty names. So I have no reservations when I assert that they are sociopaths.
