a re-post: how many children went through this? I was fortunate to have parents who were relatively open minded. Although they did not like my long hair, they encouraged us to not accept what is as what should be. I love them for that.

But why??? Cuz I said so.
Who appointed you judge and jury over my re-incarnated soul?
I don’t think we need to stop at questioning authority. We need to question reality as well. The holographic universe is a ego-driven false construct.

Zaire and Montgomery – Thanks. I was unable to link back to your url.
Johnny – you are a tough act to follow, I’ve got nothing to add which wouldn’t be delusional.
Paul – yes, it always reminded me of William F. Buckley Jr. gone sane.
PS “Who appointed you judge and jury over my re-incarnated soul?” ain’t it the truth…

Yes, indeed!
Ever question, evaluate, and re-evaluate!
And be true to our highest values.
Make a stand for authenticity!
But…
Don’t conform to mere non-conformism: it’s a fashion that never fits.
Thanks, I love that topic.

I am happy you point out the danger of conforming to non-conformity. As you underscore, authenticity is the measure. Have a warm and happy holiday!
